The oldest church on earth, or what's left of it, in Hamidiya, Homs, built originally in 59 AD as a cellar underground out of fear from the atheist Roman rulers, then expanded during Christian times. It was called Umm Zinnar (Mother of Belt in Arabic) due to the finding of Mother Mary's belt in 1953 inside a stone container under the church's altar.
