UN envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi stressed in a statement on Friday that "the bombing on Thursday in the center of Damascus constitutes a war crime."
Brahimi said "I strongly condemn the brutal and terrible bombing in Damascus yesterday (Thursday) that has killed about a hundred people and wounded 250 civilians," Brahimi said, "its not justified, similar terrible acts constitute war crimes according to international laws."
Brahimi said he had "suggested in his latest report to the UN Security Council on January 26, for an independent international investigation into such crimes."...JA
