NEW YORK, (SANA)- The United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday called upon the Syrian government and opposition to immediately work on reaching a political solution to the crisis in Syria. Russia Today website quoted the UN Secretary-General's Spokesman as saying "What should be done is to reach an immediate political solution to prevent destroying Syria completely as long as there is a time to do that."
He underlined that all the sides should abandon the military option as solution. The statement warned against the repercussions of preferring weapons than the political dialogue, asserting that what has been taking place in Syria of destruction and killing came as a result of preferring weapons over than the political dialogue.
