Syria: Jamil in Moscow: Syrian Opposition inside Syria Considers 'Friends of Syria' as Enemies

Jamil in Moscow: Syrian Opposition inside Syria Considers 'Friends of Syria' as Enemies
Member of the Presidency of the Popular Front for Change and Liberation, Dr. Qadri Jamil, stressed that the Syrian opposition inside Syria considers the participants in the so-called 'Friends of Syria' group as enemies of Syria and not friends.

"Those who are called 'Friends of Syria' are not friends but enemies who only care for brining foreign intervention in Syria," Jamil told the Russian Itar-Tass News Agency upon his arrival to Moscow among an opposition delegation scheduled to meet with Russian Foreign Ministry officials scheduled on Thursday.

"How could those who don't allow the Syrian people to settle their problems independently and don't want the crisis to be solved peacefully and assist in the bloodshed in Syria be friends?" Jamil wondered.

He described the Doha Coalition as a weak group with a tendency to split, which makes it unlikely for it to last long.
On the allegation raised on chemical weapons, Jamil stressed that these allegations aim at creating a media background for intervening in Syria, similar to those which were made regarding the alleged existence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

The delegation of the opposition Peaceful Change Forces Coalition, including Qadri Jamil, and Fateh Jamous, member of the Coalition's leadership, is scheduled to hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Deputy Mikhail Bogdanov on the visions which crystallized over the past two months on the national dialogue in light of the National Dialogue Conference held in Tehran last month and what was agreed on by the follow-up committee of Tehran Conference during its recently held meeting in Damascus.
