Army Units Eliminate Terrorists, Destroy Tools of Their Crimes in Several Provinces

PROVINCES, (SANA) - Units of the Armed Forces on Sunday continued their national mission in pursuit of al-Qaeda terrorists who are perpetrating acts of killing and looting in Daraya, Hejjeira and al-Dhiyabiyeh in Damascus Countryside and destroyed a number of their vehicles and tools used in targeting the residents and their properties. An official source told SANA reporter that an army unit clashed with al-Qaeda linked terrorist group and killed some of its members near al-Forn roundabout in Daraya city. An army unit discovered weapons and ammunition including Israeli-made bombs, DShK bullets, PKC machineguns and military uniforms in terrorists' hideouts in Cornice area in Daraya. An official source told SANA reporter that the ammunition and weapons were hidden in particular holes dug by the terrorists in plantations in Daraya farms. The source added that several mines were dismantled, after they were planted by terrorists in the residential houses in Corniche area in the city. A unit of the Armed Forces clashed with an armed terrorist group, affiliated to al-Qaeda, near the eastern entrance of Daraya city, killing and injuring a number of terrorists. An official source told SANA reporter that the army seized large amounts of weapons and ammunition, including machineguns, sniper rifles and a 82-mm mortar launcher, inside a terrorists' hideout in the city. The source added that another unit of the armed forces killed a number of terrorists at Fayez Mansour and al-Akshak streets in Hejjeira town in the countryside of Damascus. One of the most dangerous terrorists, Moa'az Numeiri was identified among the dead, the source said.The source added that the army unit destroyed a pick-up loaded with weapons and ammunitions and killed all the terrorists inside of it. A unit of the Armed Forces clashed with an armed terrorist group near al-Awzae' Mosque in al-Hejjeira, killing some of its members and seizing their weapons. An official source told SANA reporter that a number of the most dangerous terrorists were killed, including a terrorist called Abu Suhaib, a Palestinian and terrorist Abu Mohammad al-Shadeed. The source added that the dead terrorists were invloved in the planning and carrying out the terrorist attacks and bombings in Jaramana city. In al-Dhiyabiyeh, a unit of the Armed Forces killed a number of al-Qaeda terrorists and destroyed a mortar launcher. On the other hand, an army unit killed all members of an armed terrorist group in al-Husainiyeh town in al-Sayyeda Zainab area and destroyed their weapons. Terrorists Ahmad, Ali and Marawan al-Saket, from Jabhat al-Nusra, were identified among the dead. In the town Zamalka in the Eastern Ghouta area, an Armed Forces unit eliminated a terrorist group which was terrorizing locals, killing a number of terrorists belonging to Jabhet al-Nasra including the groups' leader who was known as Abu Omar al-Harastani. Two Mitsubishi double cab pickup trucks equipped with DShK machineguns were also destroyed along with the terrorists inside them in this operation. In the town of al-Buwayda, an Armed Forces unit carried out an operation in which a number of terrorists were killed and their equipment and DShK-equipped vehicles were destroyed. Armed Forces Continue Operations against Armed Groups in Aleppo Armed Forces units targeted gatherings abd bases of terrorists in the train station and Tal Shair in al-Maslamiye area, al-Betron village, Hamiko factory, Lababidi factory and al-Kenj restaurant in Aleppo countryside, resulting in the killing and injuring of a number of terrorists. The Armed Forces also targeted terrorist bases near Zedo gas station, al-Oulabi Tex factory, and Shelb bridge south of Aleppo city, destroying these bases along with the terrorists and munitions inside them. Armed Forces units killed and injured a number of terrorists in a series of operations near al-Bakkara, the municipality in Maaaret al-Artik, and near al-Mahmoud Mosque in Kafernaha. Another unit targeted a terrorist gathering near Tishreen dam southeast of Manbej, the village of Fafin, and Dahret Abdrabbo. In Aleppo city, Armed Forces units inflicted havy losses upon terrorists in al-Inzarat roundabout in al-Haydariye, Baidin roundabout, al-Shahba park, and the impound lot in al-Isharat area in Bustan al-Qasser. Another unit carried out an operation in the Old City near al-Wahda School in al-Aqaba area, killing and injuring a number of terrorists. Near Jamal Abdelnasser Mosque in al-Kallaseh and the gas station in al-Nayrab, gatherings of terrorists were targeted and heavy losses were inflicted upon them. For the sixth day in a row, the people of al-Marjeh neighborhood went out in demonstrations calling for terrorist groups to leave the neighborhood, and the terrorists responded by opening fire on the locals, killing Thana'a al-Ahmad and injuring others, some of them women and children. A terrorist group affiliated with Al Qaeda destroyed the shrine of sheikh Mohammad Debabo in al-Salhin area, and threatened to continue destroying shrines in the city. Armed Forces Eliminate Terrorist in Homs and Its Countryside An Armed Forces unit clashed with terrorists in the neighborhood of Jouret al-Shiyah in Homs city, eliminating a number of them, while another unit targeted two terrorist hideouts near Bluestone restaurant in al-Hamidiye and north of al-Zaafaran Mosque in Bab Houd neighborhood, destroying them along with the weapons and munitions inside them. In al-Khalidiye neighborhood, an Armed Forces unit eliminated a terrorist group that was terrorizing locals and committing murder and robberies. Some of the group's members are non Syrians. Among the dead terrorists were Muqadar Omar al-Baqi, Abdeljalil Harma, Omar Makki al-Jawad, Jawi Abu Bakr, Abd al-Faida, all of them Saudis, in addition to three Libyans: Meftah Abdelhaq, Mohammad al-Masrati, and Dakhil Mohammad Haqi. In Homs countryside, Armed Forces units pursued terrorist groups in the areas of al-Rastan, al-Sultaniye and al-Haidariye, eliminating a number of terrorists belonging to Jabhet al-Nasra. The authorities dismantled an explsove device weighing 30 kilograms planted by the terrorists on the Homs-Tartous highway between al-Zara bridge and Na'ara turnpike. Engineering Units Dismantle 40-kg Explosive Device near Trade School in Hama The engineering units dismantled an explosive device planted by terrorists near the Trade School in Bab Qebli neighborhood in Hama city. SANA reporter quoted a source in the province as saying that the units dismantled a 40-kg explosive device which was planted on the road near the school. In a relevant context, a unit of the Armed Forces clashed with al-Qaeda – affiliated terrorist group in the aforementioned neighborhood, killing a number of terrorists. One of the most dangerous terrorists, Mohammad Bahaa Alloush, was identified among the dead. Army Inflict Heavy Losses upon Terrorists in Idleb A unit of the Armed Forces targeted an armed terrorist group in al-Tahouneh Square in Muhambel town in the countryside of Idleb, inflicting heavy losses upon its members. An official source told SANA reporter that the operation resulted in the killing of a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists, in addition to destroying their weapons and ammunition. The Source added that an explosive deivice blew up as a terrorist was trying to plant it near al-Mastoumeh town on Idleb-Ariha road and led to his immediate death, in addition to causing some damage to the passing cars.
