Real News From Syria: Russian Newspaper: Russia and Turkey Holding Talks to Regain the Syrian Plane's Cargo Seized at Ankara Airport
Russian Newspaper: Russia and Turkey Holding Talks to Regain the Syrian Plane's Cargo Seized at Ankara Airport Oct 30, 2012
MOSCOW, (SANA)- The Russian newspaper Kommersant revealed that Russia and Turkey are holding talks to regain the cargo of the Syrian passenger plane which the Turkish authorities forced to land in Ankara Airport on October 10, subjected to search and confiscated its cargo. In its issue on Tuesday, the newspaper said it is not unlikely that the cargo will not be regained because the Turkish authorities had refused to give the cargo receipt note to the Syrian plane's pilot when he asked for it. Kommersant quoted a Russian military source as saying that the main issue is to restore the cargo "because what happened can only be described as a piracy." The Foreign and Expatriates Ministry condemned the Turkish act of piracy against the Syrian passenger plane coming to Damascus from Moscow which took place on October 10 as it was forced to land in Ankara Airport and searched before it was allowed to leave the airport after long hours despite the fact that it was not carrying any type of prohibited goods. http://sana.sy/eng/22/2012/10/30/449830.htm |

Galloway: Global War on Syria Similar to War on Egypt in 1956… Syrian Leadership Will Not Be Defeated Oct 30, 2012
BEIRUT, (SANA) – British MP George Galloway affirmed that the global war currently being waged on Syria is similar to the one waged against Egypt in 1956, voicing confidence that Syria will be victorious over this war under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad similar to the victory of the late Jamal Abdelnasser. During a meeting with former Lebanese President Emil Lahhoud in Beirut on Tuesday, Galloway stressed that the Syrian leadership will not be defeated, underlining the need for the plan launched by former UN Envoy to Syria Kofi Annan to bear fruit and for countries to stop providing military support to the Syrian opposition. Real News From Syria: Syrian Truth l Fars News Agency l Armed Salafis, Wahhabis Raid Syrian Grand Mufti's House
Oct 30, 2012
...
Syria's Grand Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun, in a meeting with Fars News Agency Chief Seyed Nezamoddin Moussavi in Damascus, said that his house in Aleppo had been ransacked in a recent attack by armed Salafi and Wahhabi groups.
"A group of 50 armed Salafis attacked my house in Aleppo, they broke the doors and stole my properties," the Syrian grand mufti said in the meeting with FNA managing-director, elaborating on the situation in Syria.
He reiterated that the Wahhabi school of thought is seeking to damage Syria's reputation; they (Wahhabis and Salafis) have only put on the mask of Islam, but their behavior is similar to that of blasphemers.
The Syria's grand mufti has been the target of several assassination attempts and abduction since unrests began in Syria in March 2011.
His son, Saria Hassoun, was killed by the terrorists in an ambush in October 2011. He was shot near Ibla University on Idlib-Aleppo highway.
The Grand Mufti believes that the retarded Arab states of the region are seeking to stir sectarian strife in Syria to promote Wahhabism.
FNA Managing-Director Nezamoddin Moussavi visited Damascus last week to inaugurate FNA bureau there.
He also met with high-ranking Syrian officials, including the country's parliament speaker and information minister, during his stay in the Syrian capital.
On Friday, the FNA managing-director signed a memorandum of understanding with head of the Syrian news agency (SANA) on mutual cooperation.
On Wednesday, Moussavi discussed the current developments in Syria in a meeting with Iran's Envoy to Syria Mohammad Reza Sheibani in Damascus.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.
Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes. The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey along with the US, have been supporting terrorists and rebel groups in Syria and have practically brought a UN peace initiative into failure to bring President Assad's government into collapse.

Real News From Syria: Chinese Global Times: ETIM Members Are Fighting with the Terrorist Groups in Syria
| |
The Chinese Global Times newspaper stressed that gunmen from East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM), which operates in Xinjiang region to the west of China, are fighting along with the armed terrorist groups in Syria. According to a source from China's anti-terrorism authority, the newspaper said in an article published on Monday that members of the ETIM and East Turkestan Education and Solidarity Association (ETESA) have been going to Syria since May and "linking up with organizations like Al Qaeda to fight against the Syrian government." "ETIM is being helped by Al Qaeda and they are collecting funds through drug and gun trafficking, kidnapping and robbery," the source told the Global Times. He continued as saying that ETIM selects and recruits "separatists, criminals and terrorists" to receive "secret terrorism training". "After receiving orders from Al Qaeda, terrorists from China came to Syria to meet with jihadists already on the ground before forming groups on the frontlines," the source was quoted as saying. The Security Council included in 2009 the ETIM in the list of terrorist organizations fighting against the Chinese government to separate Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region from China. Seeking to achieve this objective, the Movement has carried out several terrorist operations which claimed the lives of many civilians and military members. http://www.syriaonline.sy/?f=Details&pageid=4066&catid=24 |

Real News From Syria: Qatar's Petro Dollars Spent to Recruit, Train Terrorists in Lebanon to Join War on Syria
| |||
According to Syria's al-Baath newspaper, Qatar's measure has created tumult in Lebanon, specially after Doha voiced support for Hassan Qaterchi, an Islamist sheikh, who soon turned from the head of an unknown religious group into the chairman of Muslim scholars of Lebanon, thanks to the Qatari government's financial and media supports. Qatar's support for extremist groups and religious figures opposing the Syrian government and the resistance in Lebanon is not limited to a specific task to group as Doha also provides financial support for extremist Salafi groups in Lebanon to stir more tension and insecurity in Syria. Earlier this month, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr al-Thani admitted that his country is interfering in Syria's internal affairs by supporting terrorists and sending weapons to them. "Declaring a no-fly-zone and providing safe passages for assistance (to terrorists in Syria) is amongst the most important priorities of Qatar," al-Thani told the CNN. He also called on the international community to help armed rebels in Syria, adding that such a move doesn't need the permission of the UN Security Council. Qatari and Saudi rulers want an overthrow of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, a staunch ally of Iran, and they have taken every measure to this end. In his latest remarks against Syria, the Emir of Qatar called on the Arab nations to form a political and military coalition to intervene in Syria, posing a direct challenge to UN efforts to resolve the conflict through negotiations. |
Real News From Syria: Syrian Official Vows Tough Confrontation against Terrorists

"Terrorists want to weaken the Syrian Army so as to make it an easy target for Israel. Their goal is weakening the (anti-Israel) resistance but we are standing against them. We stand firmly and do not allow them to attain their goals," Meqdad said in a meeting with Fars News Agency Managing-Director Seyed Nezamoddin Moussavi. "We give our words to the people that we will defend our homeland to the last drop of our blood, but it is not clear when the crisis ends," Meqdad said. Also, during the meeting, Moussavi said western and Arab states have waged a media war on Syria and are lying about the country, adding that FNA feels duty-bound to inform the world of the realities on the ground in the Muslim country. The FNA managing director said Fars News Agency is trying to reflect the realities on the ground in Syria and disclose the untruthful reports released by the media of the West and reactionary Arab states about Syria. "The main offensive launched against Syria is a media war. The reports released by the Al Jazeera, Al Arabiya, CNN and BBC against Syria are based on lies and the way to fight it back is certainly (the use of) the media," Moussavi said, adding that FNA is prepared to help Damascus to confront the current media war on Syria. Moussavi visited Damascus this week to inaugurate FNA bureau in Damascus. He also met with high-ranking Syrian officials, including the country's parliament speaker and information minister, during his stay in the Syrian capital. On Friday, the FNA managing-director signed a memorandum of understanding with head of the Syrian news agency (SANA) on mutual cooperation. Real News From Syria: Orthodox Priest Kidnapped and Executed by US-NATO Sponsored Rebels
Damascus (Agenzia Fides) – The body of the greek orthodox priest Fr. Fadi Jamil Haddad, pastor of the church of St. Elias in Qatana, was found today in the Jaramana neighborhood (north of Damascus) not far from the place where he was kidnapped, on October 19, by unidentified armed group (see Fides 24/10/2012). This was confirmed to Fides by Fr. Haddad's greek-orthodox confrere, who asked for anonymity. "His body was horribly tortured and his eyes gouged out," he told Fides. "It is a purely terrorist act. Fr. Haddad is a martyr of our church. "
With regards to the responsibilities of the terrible act there is an ongoing rebound of responsibilities between the opposition forces and government authorities, that accuse the armed gangs of armed rebellion in the army. According to Fides sources, the kidnappers had asked the priest's family and his church a ransom of 50 million Syrian pounds (over 550 thousand euro). It was, however, impossible to find the money and meet this exorbitant demand. A source of Fides condemns "the terrible practice, present for months in this dirty war, of kidnapping and then killing innocent civilians."
Among the various Christian communities in Syria, the greek orthodox is the largest (with about 500 thousand faithful) and is concentrated mainly in the western part of the country and in Damascus.
